New Saridon Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat headache. It contains paracetamol, a pain reliever, and caffeine, which narrows the blood vessels in the brain and makes paracetamol more effective. Together, they block the release of the chemical messengers that cause headache.
Your doctor will advise how much to take. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow it whole; do not chew, crush or break it. Avoid taking it with caffeine or chocolate, or with foods and drinks that contain them, such as tea and cocoa. In general, use the smallest dose that controls your symptoms.
It may cause sleep problems (insomnia), nervousness, irritability or restlessness. Let your doctor know if these do not go away or get worse.
Use it with caution if you have heart, kidney or liver problems, and tell your doctor about any other illnesses and all the medicines you take. Avoid alcohol while using it. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
