Betadine Gargle Mint is an antiseptic and disinfectant mouthwash that contains povidone-iodine.
It kills the germs that cause infections in the mouth and throat, and helps relieve a sore throat and dryness of the mouth.
Use it in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor, and do not swallow it. Dilute it with an equal amount of warm water, then gargle or rinse your mouth for at least 30 seconds before spitting it out. Repeat every 2 to 4 hours, or as directed by your doctor or dentist. Avoid eating, drinking or smoking for at least 30 minutes after use.
Do not use it for longer than your doctor advises, and do not use it for more than 14 days without talking to your doctor first. Let your doctor know if your condition does not improve. It is generally safe and does not usually cause common side effects.
Consult your doctor before using it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
