Pan-D Capsule PR combines domperidone and pantoprazole. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and indigestion with symptoms such as heartburn, bloating and regurgitation.
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually once a day on an empty stomach before breakfast.
Swallow it whole with water; do not crush or chew it. For best results, eat a healthy diet, avoid late-night meals, caffeine and spicy or oily foods, and stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Do not skip doses or stop early, even if you feel better, as the symptoms may come back.
Dry mouth is the most common side effect. It may also cause headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea or mild stomach discomfort, which are usually temporary. Contact your doctor straight away if you have persistent vomiting, an irregular heartbeat, a rash or severe diarrhoea.
Tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problems before starting it, and avoid medicines that affect heart rhythm or interact with domperidone or pantoprazole. Do not use it if you have a history of bleeding or blockage in the digestive tract, or are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
