Uribid Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat and prevent bacterial infections of the urinary tract. It works by killing bacteria that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs), providing relief from symptoms such as pain, burning sensation and frequent urination. It should be taken as prescribed, preferably with food, to reduce nausea. You must complete the full course even if symptoms improve early, to prevent relapse or resistance. Uribid is not effective for viral infections and should only be used for bacterial UTIs.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Uribid or any of its components
• Patients with severe kidney, liver or heart problems
• Pregnant women, especially in late pregnancy, unless advised by a doctor

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Dark yellow or brown-coloured urine (harmless and expected)
