Pantafol-SL Capsule SR is a combination medicine containing Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride, prescribed for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other acid-related disorders. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces acid production in the stomach, while Levosulpiride is a prokinetic that enhances stomach and bowel movement, reducing acid reflux. This dual action relieves heartburn, irritation and discomfort due to acidity. It is best taken on an empty stomach at a fixed time each day. Avoid stopping it suddenly, as symptoms may recur. Common side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, rash and menstrual irregularities.
